Rugby timing. It`s
good to be in the right place
at the right time. In rugby it`s not chance - it`s a
matter of reading the game and timing.
Speed
and accelleration in rugby
Having a high top speed is very handy... ...but
not everthing.
Having blistering accelleration is great... ...but
not everything.
BUT ...arrive
just a fraction early... ...or
just a fraction late... ...and
it may mean some good
play is ruined.
Rugby
is a game of inches (or centimetres!)
So... ...timing is
everything.
When
you start
running, when you stop. How long running in a given
direction... ...and how
fast you run... ...to arrive just when required... ...to
make a tackle...receive a pass...collect a kick... ...needs practice with energy
and accuracy so...
You have split second timing
(our brains are fantastic!!)
You make good tackles...by
very small margins
You also evade tackles...by
very small margins
You make good passes...by
very small margins.
You make good catches...by
very small margins.
Then you score tries...yes!...that`s
right!....often by vey small margins
