Wales rugby 1974 v Scotland

Wales rugby 1974 and  a Gerald Davies sidestep creates a try for Terry Cobner.

What`s going on...

Wales are in the red shirts playing left to right

Following a scrum near the centre of the 22 metre line...

Phil Bennett passes..

#14 Gerald Davies carries the ball forward...

With a short stride with his left leg and a thrust from his right leg he produces an explosive sidestep

He veers sharply left, beating two Scottish defenders...

...but gets caught by a third before he reaches the try-line...

... he skillfully pops the ball...

...Terry Cobner backing up...

...goes over to score.

Great sidestep!

Good backing up - nice try!

I need to see it!...

It's on the rugby video tape "101 Best Tries - with Cliff Morgan" - my VCR  says it`s around the 18:38 mark (it seems to vary a little!).

It has the heading Terry Cobner - 1974 Wales v Scotland.

Use slow motion. Study it - it`ll come in useful.
